I'm Attending SC07 this year, thanks to my employer, Pittsburgh Supercomputing Center. We plan on doing a very cool demonstration where you get to use the Wii remote to control a Molecular Dynamics simulation that is taking place on BigBen, our resident Cray XT3.
I did the local I/O stuff. I wrote my own input driver for the Wiimote on top of libcwiid, a library for Linux that allows you to write programs that interact with the Wiimote. The existing input driver was a bit too flaky for my tastes. Plus I wanted to do something in 3d, so you can actually click and drag a molecule in 3d space. There is definitely room for improvement, but it should be an interesting demo.
I'm also going to be giving a booth talk about a program I wrote this summer called PyProf. PyProf is basically an extremely flexible an low-level way of profiling a program. Sadly, I think I may be the only person who will ever understand how to use it.
